Hobbies

I have a Ph.D. in organic chemistry and have worked many years in industry and in law firms. I have practiced chemical patent law for 20 years and work with research chemists all the time to patent their inventions. I enjoy working with students, particularly ones who want to put in the work to overcome hurdles in learning organic chemistry. I do not emphasize memorization. I emphasize learning how to think. I may refuse to answer a question directly, rather asking a student to think over the problem again and try out a number of solutions. I will put together sample questions for them to consider as well. I would be glad to work remotely if needed. If you just want me to answer your take home quizzes or tests, do not contact me. Thanks.
