Currently pursuing a dual English bachelor's and English education master's degree at the University of Georgia, I find much enjoyment in teaching and tutoring, and working with people in general. I teach at the first to twelfth grade levels. Subjects I can help with include elementary and middle school math, algebra, reading, writing, literature, grammar, college essays, and test preparation. I get students prepared to ace the ACT, PSAT, and SAT exams and work to improve study skills and organization. Teaching is one of my strongest skills. I find it important that students understand what they are learning. If not, I find creative methods to foster their growth. I've been tutoring since high school in algebra I and II as well as in test preparation. In addition, I spent 75 hours interning at an elementary school, where I worked with third graders in a gifted cluster classroom. I volunteered my time as a one-on-one reading tutor for kids at a local elementary school during my freshman year in college, while working as a supplementary tutor elsewhere. Quality time with family and friends is important. I also play the violin, bake, figure skate, and enjoy photography and new arts and crafts projects.
