In 2014, I graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree in Meteorology. My minor was in mathematics and I spent a number of hours studying for math courses and performing math problems just for practice. One of my favorite things to do was to sit at my white board and work out math problems on my own. While in college, I also helped my friends to study for their math courses and helping them to gain better grades. After college, I spent 15 months in New Zealand as an au pair. The children that I took care of and taught were ages eight and ten. I helped them both learn patience, hard work, and helped them to improve their mathematical skills. My students had trouble learning proper study skills and had issues gaining interest in their homework. Both were able to become successful after some adjustments to their environment and learning the rewards of finishing their work. As a tutor, I would describe myself as outgoing. I can easily get to know my students and I can help decipher their preferred style of learning. I am looking forward to taking on students and aiding them in succeeding in their math studies.
